Conduct

Old School Art Studio strives to create a safe, positive, respectful, and inclusive learning and working environment for students and staff. Failure to comply with our terms can result in being asked not to return.

Attire

Please wear closed-toed shoes, and art-appropriate clothing that can get messy. If you have long hair, please tie it back.

Materials

All supplies and materials are included in each course’s fee, unless otherwise noted. For clay classes and workshops, there is 2-3 week processing time for firing.

Open Studio

Open studio hours change per semester based on specific course offerings. Open studios are for individual work and not for instruction. Currently enrolled students are allowed to use the studio free of charge during open studio hours, others are required to pay a $40 materials fee. Please pre-register to be sure a studio teacher will be present.

Production

Old School Art Studio is a learning facility, and not a production facility. We reserve the right to refuse the use of our studios to anyone who is using Old School Art Studio as a professional production space. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.

Refunds / Cancellations

All courses must be prepaid at least one week in advance of the start of the course. Refunds are given up until one week prior to a course’s beginning, minus a 20% non-refundable fee. No refunds are given for course sessions you are not able to attend, nor can we prorate a course’s cost for such missed sessions. A full refund will be given if we cancel a course/camp due to low enrollment.

When registering for classes, you have the option to pay a $50 deposit, rather than the full amount. The remaining balance is due before the start of the class. Deposits are nonrefundable, but they are transferrable.

* There are no refunds for summer camps. You may however transfer payment to a future class.

Winter Weather

In the event of poor winter weather, our weekday courses and office hours follow the closing schedule of Chittendent East Supervisory School (Camels Hump/MMU). For evening and weekend courses, your instructor or a staff member will contact you with an update.

Scholarships & Payment Plans

The goal is to make the studio accessible to everyone interested. If you need financial assistance, please contact Abby.

Disclosures

Any photos taken during classes may be used for promotional reasons. If you do not want photos of you or your child used, please contact Abby in writing.

Parking

is available behind the studio building and along Main St. During business hours (M-F), there is limited parking in the studio lot, so plan accordingly.
